Wedding Dance Workshop

A 2-hour wedding workshop specifically tailored to wedding couples wanting to learn the most common wedding dances such as the classy Foxtrot, Swing, Rumba and Jitterbug. As a wedding couple, you will learn steps, timing, presentation, and grace on the dance floor.

Registration is limited to 10 couples to guarantee a high quality experience.

Collegiate Shag Workshop

with Sally Matsumae & Johnny Serrano

Come learn this fun, fast-paced swing dance that was popular among the youth of the 1930's and 40's. Collegiate Shag is a partner dance traditionally danced in the closed position, similar to ballroom dances, where the lead and follow face each other.  It's a 6-count dance that can be done on it's own or as a compliment to your Lindy Hop or Swing.  The footwork and kicks are what make the dance so much fun!

We'll teach the basic step with a quick turn and teach you how to transition into and out of Collegiate Shag with your Lindy Hop. This month will focus on new patterns. No previous Collegiate Shag experience required, this workshop is designed for students who have been dancing Lindy Hop or Swing for at least 2 months.

Enrollment: $25pp, $20pp in advance by 4/21

On Your Feet International
Music and Dance Extravaganza

Saturday, April 24th at Marchesa Hall & Theatre
(formerly the Monarch Event Center)

Dance lovers, Dancers & Spectators are all invited to one magical evening that will feature live bands and performances featuring Salsa, Capoeira, Bollywood, Afro-Pop, Aerial & Flamenco! You can dance, watch and participate in a raffle for a one-week vacation to Brazil, with a house! All profits from the event will go to benefit Casa Marianella, an emergency shelter for international refugees in Central Texas.

Doors open at 7p and the event will start at 8p.

Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door
