Amanda Warren was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. While in college studying Mathematics at Michigan State University, she attended a Ballroom dance competition. From then on, Amanda was hooked! She began taking lessons that week and hasn't stopped partner dancing since! Amanda enjoys the challenge and excitement of dancing, and her passion for dance is part of what makes her such a compelling instructor.

She began partner dancing by learning Hustle and West Coast Swing in 1998. After that experience, she couldn't help but try as many social dances as she could, adding Ballroom, Country Western, and Latin to her repertoire! To challenge herself further, Amanda began teaching. After singing and dancing for Disney Cruise Line, she later decided to pursue the business side of dance. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management with a focus in Performing Arts from Eastern Michigan University. Amanda has worn many hats at Go Dance since she joined the Administrative staff in 2010; she utilized her degree in Arts Management as a Student Advisor, became a manager, and now she is doing what she loves most, teaching full-time. Amanda won 1st Place in the All Star Jack & Jill at The Chicago Classic in 2010 and took 1st place in the All Star Jack & Jill at America's Classic Swing Dance Championships in 2011. She currently competes in various West Coast Swing and Hustle circuits.

As an instructor, Amanda enjoys sharing her love of dance with her students. She has studied with a wide variety of professionals, making her a well-rounded instructor who can teach a wide array of dances. Amanda approaches teaching with the utmost patience and enthusiasm. To her, dance is a form of beautiful artistic expression that should be shared with as many people as possible.

Dances Taught: Salsa, Cha Cha, Waltz, Triple Two, Two Step, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Jitterbug, and Hustle.
