The Ballroom Teachers Academy at Go Dance is a formal vocational teacher training program for anyone seeking a career as a Ballroom Dance Instructor.  Our course is based on Go Dance's own popular social dance syllabus, and the highly recognized DVIDA American Ballroom Syllabus. Teaching dance is a great career choice for anyone who loves to dance and our course is designed for experienced dancers and absolute beginners alike.  If you love dancing, and helping other people enjoy their lives to the fullest, teaching dance may be your dream job!

You will learn how to dance and teach 21 American Ballroom and Social Dances through the bronze level including:
 - How to dance as a leader and as a follower
 - Technical, musical, and styling elements of each dance
 - How to effectively teach private lessons and group classes
 - How to prepare for DVIDA professional certification

Master Course Instructors are all certified by DVIDA in American Ballroom and have extensive experience teaching Ballroom and Social Dancing.

Go Dance has been voted “Best Dance Lessons” in the Austin Chronicle Readers Poll for 2005, 2006, and 2007.  Go Dance’s Social Dance syllabus has been developed and refined for over 10 years by owner and instructor Mylie Arnold, with help from nationally recognized instructors in Country Western, Swing and Salsa.

DVIDA (Dance Vision International Dance Association) is a member of the National Dance Council of America (NDCA), which is the governing organization for Ballroom Dancing in the United States.
